A Message from Philanthropy

Good Day Neighbors!

Spring has sprung and as we enter the long-awaited summer season, we remain hopeful that we will soon be able to gather in person once again! In this edition of the Neighborhood News, you will read about our celebrations of growth including Open Houses at our Valley Center and Poway locations, and we look forward to sharing soon about our newest facility in the City of Riverside!

Throughout this year, we have listened more carefully to our patients. Through the Patient Family Advisory Council (PFAC) and other patient-centered communication channels, they have voiced their needs and we have acted. Our patients explained the need for more accessible, mobile Behavioral Health services, which we are working to expand. In addition, they have voiced their concern for additional diabetes education and support programs, and so we embark on developing Neighborhood into a Diabetes Center for Excellence.

Before you head off to read other interesting bits and pieces in our newsletter, I would be remiss if I did not encourage you to save the date of September 18th to join us for our in-person Annual Gala, being held this year at the San Diego Safari Park

This year, in direct response to our patients, we will raise funds to support Mobile Health services for our Behavioral Health program, as well as unfunded care. The former and latter continue to be important areas of focus, particularly over the last year or so.

Sponsorships are available and we seek silent and live auction items as well. Please reach out to Amber Berkey at amber.berkey@nhcare.org if you have interest and she will share the various opportunities with you. Visit Nhcare.org/gala to learn more, and to purchase your tickets to our anticipated sell out event.

Be well, stay well, and I will see you around the Neighborhood!
