ESCONDIDO, Calif. (March 14, 2023) – Neighborhood Healthcare, a regional Federally Qualified Health Center providing a wide range of health services, announced today that it hired Edgar Bulloch, MD, OB/GYN, as its Associate Chief Medical Officer.
He brings extensive community healthcare and executive leadership to the team.
“Neighborhood Healthcare continues to grow rapidly to serve the needs of our communities from El Cajon to Riverside, and healthcare has become more complex,” said Rakesh Patel, MD, CEO for Neighborhood Healthcare. “Dr. Bulloch brings exceptional clinical expertise and leadership that will complement our current medical leaders, giving us much-needed ‘bench depth.’ We’re excited to have him on board!”
A graduate of the University of Texas Health Sciences Center Houston Medical School, Dr. Bulloch possesses more than a decade of practiced obstetrics and gynecology experience with community health centers in San Diego and Riverside counties. Dr. Bulloch joins us with extensive experience in leadership roles, including Chair of Women’s Health, Regional Medical Director, Chief Medical Officer, and Chief Executive Officer at other community health organizations. Dr. Bulloch will also co-lead Neighborhood Healthcare’s Women’s Health and Prenatal programs with the organization’s Director of Women’s Health, Elena Chavarria.
“Neighborhood Healthcare’s mantra of providing quality, compassionate, whole-person care to families, regardless of circumstances, aligns perfectly with why I became a physician, said Dr. Bulloch. “Even more so, the dedicated team of staff and volunteers here do more than administer standard care. The community partnerships that Neighborhood Healthcare forges help eliminate financial and social barriers to insurance, shelter, food insecurity, and access to quality healthcare. I’m thrilled to join this organization and do my part!”
