Dr. Thompson joined the Neighborhood Healthcare team out of a desire to enhance the wellness of the community. As a doctor at Neighborhood Healthcare, she’s able to live and work near family and friends as well as utilize the training she received in a community health center near the San Diego/Tijuana border. She is dedicated to helping her patients achieve their goals. Dr. Thompson is a member of the San Diego County Medical Society, American Academy of Family Physicians, and the California Academy of Family Physicians. She strives to advance the care that Neighborhood Healthcare provides as she has a special interest in healthcare improvement initiatives.
“Hi! I am a doctor who believes that good care takes time – that it takes time for patients to trust their doctors and for doctors to get to know their patients, and that it is better not to rush. As a pediatrician, I believe that happenings at home, school, etc, including stresses in these places can affect kids’ health as well. As such, I try to take into account what I see in all aspects of children’s health. I also believe very strongly in the effectiveness and necessity of vaccines.”
Bernice Tabil-Galapon enjoys gardening, Polynesian dancing, and spending time with her family. She finds great joy in seeing the positive changes her patients experience.
Anne lives in Ramona with her husband Bruce. She loves to quilt when she has time and has a lot of projects when she has more free time. Anne also likes to read Crime Fiction for enjoyment when not keeping up to date with Professional Journals.
Alejandra Nava-Herberger has always had a strong interest in psychiatry and finds helping others incredibly rewarding. With 18 years of experience working in an inpatient psychiatric hospital, she gained valuable insights and has a knack for handling crises. Alejandra enjoys spending time with her family, including her husband, four boys, and three dogs. Together, they love exploring the beach and mountains of California and traveling to destinations where they can snorkel and kayak.
Alejandra is passionate about professional development and hopes to teach nurses and NP psych clinical settings. She finds fulfillment in helping people feel better, listening to their stressors, sadness, and traumas, and providing compassionate care.
