Medication Assisted Treatment Program
At Neighborhood, we provide a combination of behavioral health therapy with medications to treat substance use disorders. Our outpatient treatment is for individuals who are dependent on alcohol, heroin or other opioids such as prescription pain killers (i.e., oxycodone, hydrocodone, methadone, codeine, morphine).
Treatment medications work to control withdrawal or craving symptoms and are given by primary care providers, physicians assistants, psychiatrists, and nurse practitioners.
Research has shown that medication assisted treatments are safe and effective and have no adverse effect on individuals’ intelligence, mental capability, physical functioning, or employability.
