Dr. Wiles and her retired nurse mother teach CPR, first aid, BLS, PALS, ACLS, and CPR in Schools. Her dog Teddy, a corgi and chihuahua mix, is a trained therapy dog but prefers to stay home and read books with his grandmother while she works.

Dr. Wiles loves to travel and has worked with the Peace Corps in Chad, the International Medical Corps in Burundi, and the National Health Service Corps in American Samoa. She and her mother are on a mission to visit as many islands as possible and have explored New Zealand, Iceland, the Galapagos, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, and the Hebrides. Dr. Wiles also volunteers with Mexican Christian Children’s Aid, transporting food to orphanages in Baja, Mexico.

For professional development, Dr. Wiles is starting POCUS training, working on manuscripts from her doctoral research, learning Spanish, and completing CME for certifications in pediatrics, preventive medicine, public health, and health education.
