Corrine Busta External Affairs Director
– She brings more than a decade of government relations experience to role –
ESCONDIDO, Calif. (Julio 22, 2025) – Neighborhood Healthcare, a regional Federally Qualified Health Center providing a wide range of services, announced today that it hired Corrine Busta as its External Affairs Director.
“Corrine’s collaborative approach and passion for mission-driven growth make her the right person at the right time to step into this role as we support more Southern California communities,” said Johann Ramirez, VP of Growth of Neighborhood Healthcare. “She will also play a key part in enhancing the visibility and success of our $10 million capital campaign. We’re excited to have her on board!”
In her position, Busta leads Neighborhood Healthcare’s external engagement strategy, overseeing government relations, public policy advocacy, membership services, external communications, and strategic partnerships. Before joining Neighborhood Healthcare, Busta served as the Manager of Government Affairs at Cox Communications. Her background in legislative affairs equips her with a nuanced understanding of policy development and the skills necessary to serve as an effective, non-partisan advocate for the communities she represents.
A native of California, Busta’s commitment to public service began with her enlistment in the United States Navy as a member of the historic 55th integrated boot camp, the first of its kind to train men and women together under equal standards. This formative experience instilled in her a lifelong dedication to equity, leadership, and civic engagement.
