Why is the Pace Setter Gala virtual this year?

This year, to comply with CDC, State of California, and San Diego County COVID-19 guidelines, our event will be virtual. We plan to gather in-person again next year in 2021.

 

Do you still need to fundraise?

Yes! The need for quality health care does not stop just because we can’t meet in-person. We have seen a 10% increase in our uninsured patients (12,000 patients) due to recent unemployment due to COVID and we expect this number to increase further.

 

Are my donations tax-deductible?

Your donation is fully tax deductible as provided by the law. Neighborhood Healthcare is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization under IRS code; our tax identification number is 95-2796316. Please consult a tax professional with any questions regarding tax-deductible contributions.

 

Where does the money go?

Funds raised are earmarked for Unfunded Care which provides assistance to uninsured patients who would otherwise go without necessary and preventive health care services. (Assistance provided may include but is not limited to: transportation to/from visits, durable medical equipment, prescription medications.)

 

How do I make a donation?

Visit nhcare.org/fundraising, call Amber Berkey, Development Manager at 760-690-5942, or mail a check made out to Neighborhood Healthcare to the address below: Neighborhood Healthcare 425 N. Date St. Escondido, CA 92025

 

How will I watch the virtual event?

To receive access to the event, purchase a ticket a nhcare.org/fundraising. Prior to the event, we will send out a website URL on which to view the event, hosted on YouTube. You can watch the event on your TV, computer, tablet, or cellphone. (We recommend watching on your TV or computer for the best viewing experience, especially if you are hosting a watch-party.)

 

Why do you need my cell phone number and email address?

We need your cell phone number and your email address to properly register you to access the event. Your email address will be used to send a tax-receipt and confirmation of winning bids for the online auction as well as the website URL to watch the virtual event. Your cell phone number gives you access to bid on items and receive updates when another attendee has placed a higher bid on your auction item. It also allows us to send you event-related reminders and texts.

 

What is a watch-party?

A watch-party is a gathering at your home (that meets current Federal, State, and County social-gathering guidelines) of your friends and/or family during the virtual event on September 26th.
