Neighborhood Healthcare seeks participants for a drug study related to heart disease and stroke.
The community health organization’s Institute of Health arm needs candidates for a clinical research initiative from Eli Lilly and Company.
“The MOVE-Lp(a) study is evaluating an investigational medicine to understand its safety better and whether it may help lower Lp(a) levels in individuals at risk for cardiovascular disease,” said Sandy Orzel, senior director, operations and program management at Neighborhood Healthcare. “We seek to ensure that the communities we serve receive the appropriate representation in the research that impacts the care we can provide today and in the future.”
To qualify, individuals must:
- Be 18 years or older
- Have a high level of Lp(a) in their blood
- Already have heart disease or have had a stroke, or are at risk for a first heart attack or stroke
